All four views have architectural significance. Garages are side-loaded in some instances, as shown on two end garages, where possible. There are balconies and decks on the back view. Side views have bay windows and chimneys (chases). The view above is an 8 unit building. There are also four-unit buildings. The Big House concept. We wanted the homes to have some distinction other than a row of barracks. All too many of those exist already. A four unit building appears as ONE large house, while an Eight unit building is designed to appear as Two Large Houses. Note the valley between the two sections assists in the illusion. That is also why, when possible, we side loaded some garages. You see what the architect envisioned above, and here is how it really looks. You see below 1/2 of an 8 unit building. Unfortunately our excellent landscaping hasn't had time to flourish, plus this was made in early March.
